These 2-hour group consults are interactive and dynamic, and will appeal to those in the sexuality fields who have their own businesses, to AASECT* Supervisors, Supervisors in Training, Administrators of programs, and those who have or wish to have leadership roles in the fields of sexuality education, clinical sexology, sexuality counseling, sex therapy, or related fields.
Participants will learn how to create and develop their businesses and become professional leaders in their respective communities with real-time consultation groups.
This program provides participants with a range of skills and exciting ideas for creating and developing their businesses, including executive consulting skills, engagement, and branding, systemic thinking, executive coaching, and ethical leadership.
Seeking success? How do successful leaders use strategic analysis for business and branding that works? Sexuality professionals engaged in private or group practices or engage in consultative practice should be competent and have a skill set that is courageous, visionary, influential, and transformative. This group will help you conceptualize strategic analysis, planning and engagement with real time examples brought by you and others in the group. It will help you to utilize branding strategies, as well.
1. Identify and articulate the importance of developing a short and long term strategic plan.
2. Apply the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis and assess its use and limitations
3. Compare and contrast Porter’s Five Forces Model (e.g., competition in industry; potential new entrants into the industry; power of suppliers; power of customers; threat of substitute products) and Game theory.
4. Develop an understanding of personal/business related branding and clarify goals.
This program is led by Dr. James Wadley, PhD, MA, CSES, NCC, CSTS , an internationally recognized leader in the field of human sexuality. This program meets the requirements for the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and is approved for 2 CE credits.
