Out of Control Sexual Behavior (Recorded Webinar)

Out of Control Sexual Behavior (Recorded Webinar)

Treating clients evidencing problematic sexual behaviors has been an area from which many clinicians have shied away. In recent years, a number of researchers and clinicians have proposed a conceptualization that views out of control sexual behavior (OCSB) from a sexual health lens as opposed to one steeped in pathology, religiosity, and/or moralistic views of sexuality.

This course will provide an overview of current understandings related to defining, assessing, and treating Out of Control Sexual Behavior.

Learning Objectives

  • Define Out of Control Sexual Behavior
  • Discuss challenges to conceptualizing OCSB
  • Explain at least one conceptualization of sexual health
  • List the relational stresses frequently associated with OCSB
  • Discuss components of the OCSB assessment process
  • Describe approaches to treatment planning
