ADHD After Dark (Recorded Webinar)

ADHD After Dark (Recorded Webinar)

Adults with ADHD (often undiagnosed and untreated) are over-represented in therapy offices because of its many effects on relationship functioning and daily life. This session will be based on the results of the first significant research into how ADHD affects couples’ sexual functioning and satisfaction to help clinicians work more effectively with these clients. Given the additional daily struggles, couples, where one partner has ADHD, can benefit all the more from the positive effects of good sexual connection on overall relationship satisfaction.

Learning Objectives

  • Explain how one romantic partner's ADHD can create challenging dynamics between partners.
  • Name at least 2 ways that one romantic partner's ADHD can impact the partners' sexual and romantic satisfaction.
  • Describe what the happiest couples with one ADHD partner are doing to create that higher sexual and romantic satisfaction.
  • Apply the lessons learned from the research to focus interventions on the most beneficial areas.
